Aroha Nui Myoko is a warm and inviting hillside retreat overlooking the scenic Seki River valley in Myoko Kogen, Japan. Just a 10-minute walk from Myoko Kogen Station, this 3BR Myoko home offers sweeping mountain views and a peaceful setting that blends comfort with the charm of a traditional Japanese house. Recently renovated, the property features three bedrooms and one bathroom, thoughtfully updated while preserving its original character.

The name “Aroha Nui” comes from Te Reo Māori, meaning “great” or “abundant love,” reflecting a spirit of care, respect, and connection to people and place. This philosophy is woven into the experience of the home, offering guests a welcoming and meaningful stay.

Surrounded by the Japan Alps and close to 10+ ski resorts, it’s designed especially for groups and families seeking a comfortable base for a winter getaway or year-round mountain retreat.

Perfectly located for winter sports enthusiasts, the house is within 10–12 minutes of four major ski resorts, including Suginohara, Akakura, Ikenotaira and the other Myoko ski resorts. Additional resorts such as Seki Onsen, Madarao/Tangram, and Lotte Arai are within 30 minutes, while Nozawa Onsen and Shiga Kogen can be reached in about an hour. It’s also just a short drive from Myoko Kogen train station, a 7-11 convenience store, restaurants and local supermarket.

Beyond skiing, guests can explore nearby attractions like Lake Nojiri, Naena Waterfall, Togakushi Shrine, and the famous Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park.

Aroha Nui Myoko House: Rates and Booking

A 5-night minimum stay is preferred but shorter stays will considered if there is a gap in the calendar;
There are discounts for longer stays and bookings through myoko.jp (contact us below for details);
Bookings/payments are available in JPY, AUD and all major currencies;
Base rate starts from ¥70,000 per night for whole group (up to 6);
There are no individual room bookings. Bookings are for the whole house only.
